DTAS Power Analysis Tool

The Power Analysis Tool provides formatted power analysis reports for spacecraft power systems based on the SMEX heritage systems. Each report page represents one spacecraft orbit. The orbit period is either a user set length of time or the tool can be set to search for eclipses and to use those to mark the start of an orbit. Each page provides the status of each of the monitored power subsystems as well as the total times of the various battery charging modes. The report can be saved to a file, sent to a printer, and/or shown on the screen.

The major steps in obtaining a report are:

  1. The user logs into the mission data server.
Click here to see a screen shot of the database selection box.
  2. The user selects the name of the spacecraft under analysis.
Click here to see a screen shot of the mission name selection box.
  3. The user selects the start and end times of the analysis.
Click here to see a screen shot of the time settings dialog
  4. The user enters any notes that should be displayed on the report.
Click here to see a screen shot of the notes editor.
  5. The user initiates the analysis.
