DTAS Trend Generator

The DTAS Trend Generator creates the long-term trending information that is stored in the DTAS Data Server's long-term database (AKA, Trend Data database). Every mnemonic stored in the short-term database (AKA, Data Values database) is analyzed by this application to calculate the maximum, minimum and mean values of the data for each orbit of the spacecraft. These three values are given the timestamp of the orbit and then recorded in the database. This process can occur automatically daily or the operator can directly command up to seven spacecraft data days worth of processing.

For automatic operation the operator merely needs to set the time for the daily run of the trend generator and to enable the timer.

The orbital period used for calculations is set by the operator.
